BARNES, Garnet F. - a resident of Chatham, passed away peacefully at Copper Terrace, Chatham on Saturday, February 2, 2008 in his 100th year. Born in Thamesville, son of the late Charles and Ellen (Nichols) Barnes. Beloved husband of the late Beulah ( Wallace) Barnes (2003). Loving father of Kenneth and Lee Barnes of Chatham, Shirley and Doug Anderson of R.R. 3 Kent Bridge, Ruth and Hans Eberhard of Calgary, Joan and Ralph Carr of Wallaceburg, Wayne Barnes and Verda Read of Chatham. Fondly remembered by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Leta, Elsie, Zada, and brothers Harold, Cecil, and Lloyd. At the family's request a private funeral service will be held at the JOHN C. BADDER FUNERAL HOME, Thamesville. Interment Mayhew- Mt.Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville.
