LAPOINTE, Yves - It is with great sorrow that the family wish to announce the sudden passing of Yves Lapointe at the St. Joseph's General Hospital in Elliot Lake on Monday January 28, 2008 at the age of 55. Beloved son of Reine Lapointe of Elliot Lake and the late Jean Lapointe. Loving husband of Catherine Lapointe and father of Yvonne Lapointe (Matthew Mahoney), Renée Lapointe (Jordy Madore) and Amie Sicoly (Mike), all of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear grandfather of Mason, Hannah May, Annie, Chelsea and Hailey. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Danielle McLeod (Wayne) of Elliot Lake, Denis Lapointe (Catherine) of St. Romuald, Québec, Sylvie Jefford (Peter) , Andrée Lapointe, both of Guelph, Jean-Pierre Lapointe (Tina) of Nepean and numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation was held at the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre (36 Ontario Ave.) on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. A private funeral service was held on Thursday January 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the funeral home. Deacon Joseph O'Neill officiated.Cremation followed. Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. 10976089
