KANE, Sister Mary Adeline (Mary Bridget) - entered Eternal Life on Wednesday February 6, 2008 in Chatham, Ontario. She was born in Stratford, Ontario in 1914, the daughter of the late Thomas and Adeline (Moore) Kane. She entered the Ursuline Religious of the Diocese of London in 1933. During those years she served the Ursuline Community as a teacher in Kindergarten at “The Pines“, Chatham; Glengarda School, Windsor; St. Patrick's, Dublin; Holy Family School, Wallaceburg; and continued tutoring at Glengarda School in Windsor until she retired in 1978. Sister continued to live at Glengarda until moving to Chatham in 1996. She then moved to Essex until 1997 and returned to Chatham in 1999. Sister is survived by one brother Dr. Thomas Kane of Thunder Bay and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters, Kathleen Kane and Loretta Devlin. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Friday, February 8 at 7:00 p.m., in the Kiva at Villa Angela, 20 Merici Way, Chatham. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, February 9 at 10:00 a.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, Chatham. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
