SELWOOD, Edward Brian (Ted) - It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our son, husband, father, grandpa and uncle at Medicine Hat, Alberta, on the 6th day of February, 2008 in his 57th year, after a long and very courageous battle with cancer. Welcomed in Heaven byhis father, Arnold Selwood and baby grandson Jayden Selwood. Beloved husband of 33 years of Susan (Materi). Dear father of Brian (Denise) and Anton (Jody). Cherished Poppa to Brett, Camryn, Madelyn, Brody and baby brother Selwood due February 28, all of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Loving son of Irene (Toots) Anderson (Adkins), Powassan. Very special brother of Doug (Carol), Powassan, Dave (Jill), North Bay, Dianne (Ted) Graham, Lakefield, Marlene Gaw, Willow Beach and Judy (Keith) Newton, North Bay. Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Ted was born in Huntsville, November 26, 1951 while living in Algonquin Park. He also lived in Gooderham a short time and attended public school and high school in Newmarket. He enlisted in the Army and was a member of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise's) based at Petawawa, ON in the Medical Corps and served with the United Nations Forces in Cyprus. He met his wife Susan in the army, were married and moved west to Alberta to raise their two sons.
