Ruth P Scoates ( Power) - 05/10/2004 At the Montfort Hospital on Sunday, May 9, 2004 in her 88th year. Ruth was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Bessie Bella Power. Predeceased by her sister Myrtle and brothers Arthur and Harold. She is survived by Reg, her cherished husband of 68 years; son Jon (Mary); grandchildren, James (Dominique Weis) and Liz (Gordon Laidlaw) and two great-grandchildren, Josie and Samuel. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews in British Columbia and along the eastern shore of Nova Scotia. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 from 1 p.m. until Memorial Service time in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment of her ashes will be held in Nova Scotia at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to the McLeod-Stewarton United Church - Centre 507 or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family expresses it's thanks to the staff of the Medical Unit at the Montfort Hospital for their care and compassion.
