MEDHURST, Herbert Henry “Bert“ - Veteran WWII - Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Monday, January 28th, 2008, Bert Medhurst at 93 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Millie Medhurst (nee Waghorn). Dear father of Ann and her husband Larry Baxter of Cobourg and Ray and his wife Donna of Kingston. Dear Poppa of Sheri Williams (Jeff), Angie Medhurst (Scott MacDonald), Greg Baxter (Leanne), and Glen Baxter (Caroline). Poppa Bert to Trent, Emily, Jacob, Kristin, Jasmynn, and Ethan. Predeceased by his siblings Florence Burnham, Lil Gordon, Charles, Jim, Bill, and Jesse Medhurst. Greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Lovingly cared for by the staff of NHH Long Term Care Unit 1B. A Memorial Service will be held at MacCOUBREY FUNERAL HOME, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Friday, February 1st, at 2 pm. Visitation to be held at the funeral home on Friday for two hours prior to the service, from noon until 2 pm. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133 will gather at 1:45 for a Legion Service prior to the Memorial.
