RANTA, Onni Wester RANTA, Onni Wester It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Onni (Wester) Ranta (84 years) on May 19, 2004 in Sudbury, Ont. Wester was married to his wife Kaarina (nee Wahamaa - predeceased) for 58 years and was the proud father of Sandra Koncz (predeceased) of Val Caron (husband Joe - predeceased), Carole-Ann Ball (predeceased) of Winnipeg (husband Jim), Bruce (wife Lillian) of Kenora, and Barry (fiancee Nicole) of Sudbury. Wester will be missed by all including his grandchildren Fred, Geoff and Dorothy Ball (Winnipeg); Kathie, Joe, Jim (predeceased) and Heidi Koncz (Sudbury); Rick and Roxanne (Sudbury) along with his great grandchildren Jeff, Joey and Denver (Sudbury). Wester and Kaarina spent a lot of time at their camp on the French River and both will be remembered by friends and relatives in Sudbury, Maine and California. Funeral arrangements incomplete.
