George Ira Wallace MacEachern July 27, 1934 - May 16, 2004 MacEACHERN, George Ira Wallace - 69, Dartmouth, passed away May 16, 2004, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Mulgrave, he was a son of the late Marjorie MacEachern. George was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked for DOT and drove a taxi in Dartmouth for 42 years. He was a member of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffalo's, Harbour Lodge No. 53, Pride of Dartmouth Lodge No. 54, Eastern Lodge No. 8686, Eastern Passage, Somme Legion No. 31, and a member of the Grand Lodge of Ontario. George was also an avid dart player. Surviving are brother, Charlie (Rose), Halifax; stepchildren; daughters, Katherine (Ken), Patricia Boutilier, Dartmouth; Heather Boutilier, Eastern Passage; Christine Albert (Michael), Kathleen Gaetz, Dartmouth; sons, Ernie Benjamin Jr., Dartmouth; Wayne Clattenburg (Candace), West Chezzetcook; 16 grandchildren. He was predeceased by wife, Barbara "Ruth"; first wife, Velda MacEachern; sister, Rowena; brother, Gordon. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday with Buffalo Service 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, all in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Reception to follow in the Buffalo Club, 2 Wentworth St., Dartmouth. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
