STEFURAK, Mary (nee Luciw) - It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of my mother Mary on Thursday, January 31st, 2008 in her 86th year. Mary was predeceased by her father Mike (1945), husband Eddie (1968), mother Anna (1996), son Richard (1996) and son-in-law Gary (2007). She is survived by daughter Debbie Symonds, brother Walter and sister-in-law Jeanne Luciw. Beloved Baba to Kyle, Evan, Shonna, Shane and Great Baba to Sierra, Brooklyn and Parker. Much loved Aunt to Christine and Ross Davidson, Mark and Melanie Luciw. Great-aunt to Nicholas and Sarah. Sister-in-law to Anne Kemph. Mom was also a faux Baba to Derrick Symonds, and to Janet and Matthew Belzil. Mary was a long time member of Thorold South United Church. I would like to give special thanks to Dr. Tatzel who always listened and took his time with Mom, to Dr. Samosh for his gentle way, to Dr. Shaikh for trying to help Mom cope with her pain and finally to Dr. Nolan who took care of her in the ER. Mom was a wonderful, special lady who always tried to stay positive. No matter what pain the day dealt her, she always had a smile for us. We will miss her deeply, but now she is at peace. Dad, Rick and Gary are taking care of her. The family will receive friends at the HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, February 4th, 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Thorold. If so desired, donations to the Arthritis Society, Heart & Stroke or Thorold South United Church would be appreciated by the family. 10978803
