Betty Anne Rob November 07, 1925 - March 18, 2004 Mrs. Betty Anne Rob, aged 78 years, resident of Thunder Bay passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, March 18, 2004 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre with her family at her side. She was born in Minneapolis and was educated in Euclaire, Wisconsin. Betty Anne came to Canada and was employed at the Indian Lake Lodge where she met her future husband, Charles Rob. They moved numerous times within Canada, coming to Fort William in 1961. Betty Anne began work as a homemaker for the Red Cross. She later went to work for the Lakehead Public School Board and then to the Hogarth Hospital where she was a dietary aid. She retired at age 65 and became a school crossing guard. Her main interests were her family, grandchildren, card playing, bingo, shuffleboard and knitting. Survived by daughters, Susan Kondreska (Lorne) and Jo Anne Smith (Jim); James Rob and John Rob (Lynn); grandchildren Steven, Darren, Ryan, Jennifer and Bryan; and great grandchildren Stephanie and Sydney. Predeceased by her parents, husband Charles, son Michael Dennis Turner and an infant son, one sister and two brothers. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Mrs. Betty Anne Rob will be held in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre, 226 S. Syndicate Avenue, on Monday, March 22, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Chrons & Colitis Foundation, Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
