CARROLL, Melanie, Loretta (nee Grant) In loving memory of Melanie (Grant) Carroll, 34 years of Garson, who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Saturday, June 19, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-Laurentian Site. She was born in Brandon, Manitoba and married Wade Carroll. Melanie came to Garson in 1983 from St Charles. She graduated in 1997 from Cambrian College from the Records and Information Management Program. She worked at the Sudbury Community Service Center for 6 years. She enjoyed travelling, camping and she had a great appreciation of the outdoors. Melanie was devoted to her loving family especially her precious son Wesley. Always a thoughtful and caring person she inspired others with her courage through the journey of her illness. The light of life continues to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Beloved wife of Wade Carroll of Garson. Loving mother of Wesley Stuart Grant Carroll at home. Cherished daughter of Daniel and Betty (Kitchekesik) Grant of Garson. Loving sister of Jason Grant of Garson and Cynthia Grant-Smith (husband Michael) of Innisfil. Special daughter in law of Theresa and Leonard Carroll of Garson. Dear sister in law of Reggie Carroll (wife Caroline) and Cathy Steele (husband Jake) both of Wahnapitae, Maureen Watson (husband Russell) of St Thomas, Patti-Jo Bradley (husband Gordon) of Garson, Brian Carroll (Chantel) of Sudbury, Karen Carroll and Edward Carroll (Jen) both of Garson. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. "Melanie was an inspiration to all who knew her. Until the end she was selfless, and remained more concerned about other's feelings than her own. She was incredibly courageous always keeping up a brave face.
