Annie HADFIELD

Annie Adams, formerly Walton (née Hadfield) - Peacefully at Heritage Lodge on May 12, 2004 after a brief illness, Annie Adams passed away. Our much loved mom, grandmother and great-grandmother celebrated her 101st birthday on December 11, 2003. She was predeceased by loving husbands Herb Walton (1951) and Percy Adams (1963); best friend Albert Birchall; loving daughter Naomi Sawchuck (1956); step-daughter Alice Brooks (Calgary); step-son Alex Walton (Vancouver); brothers Bill Hadfield (Chicago), Reuben Hadfield (Guelph), Harold Hadfield (Winnipeg); sisters Naomi Cooper (Minnedosa) and Ruth Belantoe (Vancouver); and parents John and Clara Hadfield (St. James). Mom will be sadly missed by sons Herb Walton and wife Ann (Burlington, ON), step-son Jim Walton (Vancouver); grandsons Greg Walton and wife Lorie (Bradford, ON), Doug Walton and wife Joanne (Burlington, ON), Andy Walton and wife Anne (Sanford, ON), Larry Walton and wife Nelly (Kincardine, ON), David Sawchuck and wife Valerie (Winnipeg); sister-in-law Alma Hadfield (Beacon Hill Lodge, Winnipeg); and many special nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Mom will be dearly missed by her many friends in Winnipeg from Burnell Street, Lions Manor and Heritage Lodge. The family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Heritage Lodge for the wonderful care and attention she received during her residence there. A brief visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue followed by an interment at 12:30 p.m.. A memorial tribute will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Heritage Lodge (Maple Room), 3555 Portage Avenue with a reception at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army, PO Box 1932, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2 or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
