Irene May HADDEN

Irene May Hadden - May 24, 1923 - May 14, 2004 - Irene May Hadden age 81 of Amherst and formerly of Oshawa, Ontario passed away on Friday May 14, 2004 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan. Born in Bowmanville, Ontario she was a daughter of the late Harry and Ruby (Pym) Breakell. Irene worked for Canada Post in Oshawa for many years. She was an avid cat lover and will be sadly missed by her cat Willie. She is survived by her husband Bill Hadden, one daughter Mary (Bill) Lewis of Pugwash and one son Major Don (Laurie) Allen of Orleans, Ontario, one brother Don Breakell of Belleville, Ontario, four grandchildren Patrick and Andrew (Erin) Lewis both of Amherst and James and David Allen of Orleans, one great grandson Damien Lewis and several nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her first husband Roy Allen, one sister Marnie Loney and one brother Bob Breakell. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at 1 p.m. in Campbell's Funeral Home Chapel, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the L.A. Animal Shelter.
