Mrs. Josephine Purnell December 17, 1937 - September 27, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Campbell's Funeral Home Josephine Purnell age 66, of Amherst passed away Monday, September 27, 2004 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan, N.S. Born in Montreal, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Pettigrew) Chrvala. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Josephine is survived by six daughters, Christine (Bill) Terris of Amherst, Debbie Purnell at home, Barbara (Ken) Fagan of Brookdale, Josie Purnell at home, Kathy (Monty) Ripley of Amherst and Amanda (Jonathan) Cameron of Dartmouth, brothers Joseph (Addie) of Hamilton, Ont. and Raymond (Shirley) of Sackville, N.B. and sister Eileen (Walter) Cole of Amherst, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews and many that were thought of as sisters and brothers. Josephine was predeceased by one brother and two sisters. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at a later date.
