Gérard Joseph Leblanc of Kapuskasing, died at home on January 8, 2008. Mr. Leblanc was born on May 12, 1916 in Rogersville, New Brunswick. He was a carpenter in the pulp and paper industry. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting and fishing. He is survived four daughters, Lorraine Losier and Bea Bezel (Nick) of Kapuskasing, Joanne Gaulin (Lucien) of Moonbeam and Louise Lomas (Bill) of Dryden ; two sons, Victor Leblanc (Shirley) and Raymond Leblanc, both of Kapuskasing and two sisters, Elmire Langer of Raymond, Washington and Helen Price of London. Mr. Leblanc was predeceased by his wife Aldéa Leblanc, his sister Eva Tedesco, his mother Elvina Déprés and his stepfather Albert Déprés. Father Fernand Villeneuve officiated the funeral service January 12, 2008 at st. Patrick’s Church. Interment followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Frank J. Selke Memorial Resource Center, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and the Northern Corridor Children’s Fund. Funeral director was Guenette Funeral Home.
