Delbert L. MOORE

MOORE, DELBERT L. - The death of Delbert L. Moore of St. Martins, husband of the late Anna (Bridges) Moore occurred October 7, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born at Alma, son of the late John and Florence (Norris) Moore. Delbert was employed at Saint John Iron Works for twenty years and in 1963 worked for ten years at the First National Bank of Boston before retiring in St. Martins. Delbert was a former Councilor and Mayor of St. Martins. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, St. Martins, the Orange Lodge, and the Pythian Lodge and was a driver for the Volunteer Centre in Saint John. Delbert was the last surviving member of his family. He is survived by daughter Florence Moore of Saint John; daughter-in-law Adria Moore of St. Martins; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sons Winston and Daryl Moore. The arrangements have been entrusted to Reid's Funeral Home, Hampton. Visitation will be at Fundy Funeral Home, Saint John, Friday, 2-4pm and 7-9pm and at Holy Trinity Church, St. Martins, Saturday, from 1pm - 2pm. The funeral will held Saturday, 2:00pm at Holy Trinity Church, St. Martins with Rev. Dana Dean officiating assisted by Rev. Robyn Cuming. Interment in Mosher Hill Cemetery.
