Brennand: Robert 1912 - 2004 Robert (Bob) Brennand died June 9, 2004 at the age of 92. He is survived by his daughter Margaret (Wayne) Wasmann of Calgary; daughter-in-law Shannon Brennand of Drumheller; as well as his grandchildren David Brennand of Drumheller, Josh Brennand of Calgary, Melanie Wasmann of Philadelphia, PA, and Christopher Wasmann of Lethbridge. During his 50 some years in Drumheller, he devoted many hours to his church and community including City Alderman from 1956 - 1962, Parish Counsel Chairman, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, President of the Drumheller Legion, and President of the Navy League of Canada. Serving in the Second World War, he was one of the last living veterans. He also was instrumental in establishing what will now become K-12 St. Anthony s Separate School in Drumheller. Bob spent 15 years in Halifax, N.S. after his retirement. He came back to Calgary after his wife passed away in 1999. Robert owned and ran Brennand Industrial Supplies on Railway Avenue for over 30 years with his son, Bob. Bob was also an accomplished artist and pianist and loved to paint and play piano for pleasure. He always had a keen interest in computer technology, e-mailing his friends and family across Canada and the U.S. on a regular basis and encouraging his fellow seniors to do the same. Bob will be missed by his family and friends, but rests peacefully now with his wife Mollie and son Bob who passed before him.
