Stol: Derek Myles Derek Myles Stol passed away suddenly June 29, 2004 at the tender age of 19 years. Derek was predeceased by his beloved grandparents Klaas and Annemarie Stol. Derek is survived by his loving mother Nicole Stol (Mike) and beloved siblings Desiree and Mitchell (Mraz), Tammi, Tina and Kayla. Father Willi, Uncles Klaas and Hans Stol, Auntie Kim Stol, Michele Koster. Grandparents Ann Von, Charles and Darlene Von, Auntie Heather Franciotti, Uncles Chuck and Mac Von and numerous cousins and nephews as well as extended family members and many lifetime friends who shared cherished memories of Derek. Derek was born October 10, 1984 in Drumheller. He attended school in Morrin. His passion was golf and he saved his money to invest in the best clubs available to improve his game. His other interests were hockey and skateboarding. At an early age he mastered the art of Lego building and 3-D puzzles. Like his Grandpa Stol and Uncle Klaasie, he had the gravel trucking business in his blood. Derek's life was celebrated at the Courtney-Winters Funeral Home, with internment following at the Drumheller Cemetery and luncheon at Midland Hall where family and friends shared special memories.
