Thompson: (Smiley) Janet Evelyn June 15, 1919 - January 12, 2004 Janet Evelyn Thompson (nee Smiley) passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2004 in Port Alberni, BC, at the age of 84. Born June 15, 1919 in Calgary, AB she had lived in Port Alberni since 1985. Predeceased by her husband, Alfred, she is survived by her daughter Sandy (John) Price of Calgary, and her sons Tom (Raylene) Thompson and Rick (Val) Thompson both of Port Alberni, BC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Bob Price, Debra (Shane) Simmons, Tamera (George) Cocco, Travis (Lisa) Thompson, Craig (Kim) Thompson, Kevin Thompson and Katrina Thompson and four great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Janet's life at a graveside service at Burnsland Cemetery in Calgary at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2004.
