Finkbiner: Ronald John Henry June 23, 1943 - September 1, 2004 Ronald John Henry Finkbiner passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 1, 2004, at his home in Errington, B.C. Ron was born in Toronto, ON, on June 23, 1943. He spent his childhood years in Drumheller. He married Dawn Cowan of Didsbury on December 31, 1970 in Port Alberni, B.C. They then relocated to Calgary where they were blessed with their first child, Jason. A few years later while living in Pincher Creek, Ron and Dawn welcomed their second child, Aaron. They embraced the arrival of their third child (a daughter) Naomi while living in Didsbury. Ron and Dawn moved between Alberta and B.C. over the years, finally residing in Errington, B.C. Ron always enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends. He loved the down-home environment of Errington. Throw in a washboard and a comb and you'd have yourself an evening of toe tapping music (he already had the hound). His other passion was having a project on the go. He was a fixer-upper type guy. If something needed to be done, Ron would figure out a way to do it. He was predeceased by his father and mother: Albert and Dorothy Finkbiner of Drumheller, and brother Vic. Ron is survived by his wife Dawn, son Jason (Tiana), son Aaron (Caralee) and daughter Naomi (Rob). Ron has left behind three beautiful little granddaughters, Ally, Kayla, and Kendra, and one loveable little grandson, Parker. Ron is survived also by his sister Holly (Dwight) and brothers, Bill (Lorraine), Mel and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, in Drumheller on Tuesday, September 7, 2004. A memorial service will also be held in Errington at a later date.
