Bilinski: Alfred John "Bud" 1925 - 2004 Alfred John "Bud" Bilinski passed away on Tuesday, September 21st at the Penticton Regional Hospital. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Alberta Bilinski, daughter Sharyn (Mike-deceased), sons Garry (Sandy) and Brian (Ann) sister Frances (Earl); seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as many relatives and friends. Alfred was born and raised in Drumheller, Alberta and served briefly in the Royal Canadian Air Force at the end of World War 2 and went on to a very successful career as a project manager for a large construction company in Calgary. He managed many large building projects throughout western Canada. He retired at the age of 53 and to fill his time moved to BC, purchased land and proceeded to build a new home for himself and Alberta and planted an orchard. For the next 16 years he ran his orchard and enjoyed his 'retirement'. August 5th, 2004 was the 60th anniversary of Alfred and Alberta's very successful marriage. Alfred was the Patriarch of his family and was accorded the respect he deserved by all who knew him. He loved music, played the violin and was an accomplished dancer. He had a very strong moral and work ethic that he passed on to his children and several nieces and nephews that looked to him for support throughout the years. First, last and always, he was a family man. A celebration of life was held on Friday October 1st, 2004 in Penticton. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Hansons' Arbor Funeral Chapels and Crematorium. Internment will take place in the Keremeos cemetery at a later date. Family and friends are encouraged to make a donation to a charity of their choice in lieu of flowers.
