SMITH, James Irving SMITH, James Irving - 76, Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, on March 23, 2008. He was a 32 year veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy and a true sailor at heart. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Doris Smith, Lower Sackville; daughter, Gayle Tweedie (Smith), Moncton, N.B.; son, Christopher, Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Christian and Breannah Tweedie, Moncton, N.B.; sister, Elenor, Toronto, Ont.; nieces and nephews from Ontario and Nova Scotia. He was predeceased by son, Phillip; daughter, Angela; granddaughter, Ferris; father, mother and three brothers. There will be a Canadian Forces service for family only, with burial at sea. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Thank you to the doctors and nurses of 8.4, QEII Health Sciences Centre.
