MACDONALD, Evelyn Louise MACDONALD, Evelyn Louise - Halifax and River John, passed away on March 25, 2008, at her residence in Halifax. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Walker. Evelyn grew up in Bible Hill and was educated in the Truro school system. She spent most of her life in Halifax where she held such positions as deputy clerk of the city court, an executive with CJCH-TV and regional manager of Office Overload. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Angus L. Macdonald, with whom she spent many happy times in Port Lucuya, Bahamas, Florida, taking cruises and motoring; brother, John R. Walker and his wife Beverly, Chilliwack, B.C.; son, Wayne A. DeWolfe and his wife Diane; Alfred, Ontario; daughters, Judith L. Gard and her husband William and Karin P. Morgan, all of Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Brenda DeWolfe, Comox, B.C.; Robert Morgan and his wife Lisa, Lower Sackville; Scott Morgan, Dartmouth; Bradley Neate, Calgary, Alta.; and Gregory Neate and his fiancée Christy Dunlop, Moncton, N.B. Evelyn is also survived by great-grandchildren, Jessie and Jordan DeWolfe, Lindsey and Justin Morgan, and Cassie Neate. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents and brother, Gordon Walker. She was a kind, generous and compassionate lady, loved by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed and always remembered. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Monday, March 31, in St. George's Presbyterian Church, River John, where a memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 1, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Donald R. Sutherland officiating. Following the serivce, there will be a reception in the church hall. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations in Evelyn's memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to MacLeod's Funeral Home, River John.
