PETTIPAS, Douglas Thomas PETTIPAS, Douglas Thomas - 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 26, 2008, in the VG Site, QEII. Doug was born and raised in Dartmouth. He started his working life with the RCAF and ended with 35 years of driving taxi to and from the airport. Doug thoroughly enjoyed his cars as well as his time spent driving his motorcycles. Doug will be missed by his wife, Phyllis (Chipman); daughters, Michelle (J.B.) MacKinnon, Cole Harbour, and Cathy Pettipas, Sackville, N.B., as well as his brother and dear friend, Don (Mary) Ocala, Fla.; his stepsons, Stan (Adele) Hennigar, Jody (April) Hennigar, and Donald Penny. He will be remember and loved by his adored grandchildren, Ricky, Catherine, Conlan, Anthony, Kayla, Julia, Crystal, and Angela, as well as by his beloved dog, Jack. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Mark and Catherine (Higgins) Pettipas; his first wife, Angela (Forward), and by brothers, Jed and Leo. There will be a private family burial that will take place at a later date. The family would like to send out a special thanks to all of our family, friends and neighbours for their loving support and prayers during Dad's illness. We would also like to thank all the staff at the VG Site, QEII, especially those on 6B for their special care and support. For prayers and reflections please refer to John 14: 1-3.
