ARNOLD, Leslie "Les" William passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, at the age of 82 years. Survived by his loving wife Betty. Beloved father of Carolyn Barnett and husband Jim, and Doug Arnold & wife Karen. Also surviving are grandchildren Cindy and Justin Schulz, Doug Barnett & Andrea, Kurtis Arnold & wife Chrissy, and Lesley Arnold. Les will be sadly missed by Betty's children, the late Jeff Gillies, Gary Gillies, Janice & husband Mike Kozak, and children Matt & Ally, Rob & Sue Gillies and children, Nicole, Mark, and Amber. Dear brother-in-law of Bud and Vi Cochrane. Pre-deceased by his first wife Roxy (Cochrane) (1987), and his parents William & Edna (Sharpe) Arnold. Les was a cheerful driver with Transit Windsor for a period of 44 years, and was a proud member of the R.C.L. Branch 201, Essex, and past member of the Essex Lions Club. His greatest joy was being with people, followed by his love of music, which was evident through the many bands he was involved with, and his enjoyment of playing of various musical instruments. Visiting at the Stewart L Kennedy Funeral Home, 128 Talbot Street N., Essex (776-7378), on Monday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM. R.C.L. service to be held at 7:00 PM. Funeral service to be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at 11:00 AM. Interment in Cottam United Church Cemetery, Cottam. Memorial donations to Toge-ther for Betterness (rooms for palliative care) would be greatly appreciated by the fam-ily. Online condolences may be placed at skennedy@mnsi.net.
