Mary, as she was known to all, was born January 9, 1918 in Arnold, Nottinghamshire, England, the third daughter of Frances and Percy Beeton. After school, she worked as a bookkeeper for Dessau Industries, where in 1943, she found the love of her life, Rudy. In 1948, newly married to Rudy, the man who would become the center of her life for the next 58 years, they immigrated to Canada, where they took up residency in Sherbrooke, Quebec and lived until moving to Granby, Quebec in 1970. In 1994, they moved with their daughter and her family to Thunder Bay. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her son Roger, her daughter Rosemary (Michael) Thompson, grandchildren Sean and Mikayla of Thunder Bay and numerous nieces and nephews in England and Germany, as well as special friends Ian Shaw of Brockville and Gillian Shaw of Kemptville, and her numerous other friends in Ontario and Quebec. Mary has now gone to join her husband Rudy, who predeceased her in 2006, as well as her mother and father, Frances and Percy Beeton, and her sisters Frances, Jessie and Florence, all of England.
