MCALLISTER, EILEEN R. - 1930 - 2008 With great sadness, the family of Eileen McAllister, age 77, of Petitcodiac announce her passing on April 7, 2008 at the Moncton Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Prescott and Mabel (McPhee) Irving. She will be dearly missed by her two sons, Stephen Bleakney (Carla) of Fredericton and Douglas Bleakney (Simone) of Petitcodiac; two daughters, Deb Haevans (Robert) of Petiticodiac, Donna Singer (Garry) of Havelock; a brother, Rev. Ralph Irving (Peggy) of Fredericton; a sister, Lavilla Keith (Frank) of Petiticodiac; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and a nephew. Predeceased by son, Reginald and husband, A.E. McAllister. She volunteered for years with the Westmorland County Fair and also with the Foodbank. Eileen loved knitting, plastic canvas, flower gardens, feeding the birds and bus tours. She always had her teapot on when you came by. She was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm at Armstrong's Funeral Home; the funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 pm in Petitcodiac Baptist Church with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Interment will be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the CNIB or the Heart & Stroke Association would be appreciated by the family. A special heart felt thanks to Marielle Michaud and Marg Mechefske for being there for her during her long hospital stay. "We will miss you Mom."
