Rachel Gallant 1951-2008 Rachel Gallant, 56, of LeBlanc St., Shediac passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, N.S. following a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 21, 1951 in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Clovis and Eva (Gallant) Gautreau. She is survived by her lifelong partner, Raymond Cormier; two daughters, Monique Krusick (Aaron) of Alabama, Denise Gallant (Pierre Sonier) of Moncton; three sons, Pierre Gautreau (Tasha McGovern) of Moncton, Ricky and Jean-Guy Gallant both of Shediac; three sisters, Linda Gautreau (Gérard Cormier), Aline Gautreau (Robert McPhee) and Jeannette Landry and two brothers, Valerie and Edgar Gautreau (Patsy) all of Shediac; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters, Gérald, Alonzo, Geneva and Doris. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, from 10 a.m. until time of departure 10:50 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2008 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac.
