FISHER, Donald James Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with MS for 43 years at Hotel Dieu-Grace Hospital on August 26, 2004 at 63 years of age. Predeceased by parents Frederick Fisher (1972) and Dorothy Simpson (1998). Beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Woolcock). Loving father of Wendy and husband Cleber Tavares and Karen and husband Gregg Stephenson. Devoted grandfather of Nilo and Analia Tavares and Devin Stephenson all of Windsor. Dear brother of Thomas Fisher of Vancouver and Stanley Fisher of Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Donald was a retired teacher for the Windsor Board of Education. He was a former Scout leader having achieved the rank of Queen's Scout. He was also a member of Central United Church and member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Windsor Chapter. Visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel of the Morris Sutton Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 68 Giles Blvd. E. on Monday, August 30 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Craig Drummond officiating. Cremation and interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Don's family would like to thank the staff of Hotel Dieu-Grace Hospital and W.R.H. Western Campus for their wonderful care. As your expression of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family.
