BUCKNER, Douglas W. Born in Windsor June 14, 1931 and died at Hotel Dieu Hospital August 29, 2004 after a courageous battle. Beloved husband of Loretta. Loving father of Mark (Windsor), Wendy and husband James Hale (Toronto), Deborah and husband Glen Ray (Windsor) and Lorie and husband John MacDonald (Lakeshore). Devoted grandpa of Ian and Nicola MacDonald and Cameron and Lauren Hale. Dear brother of Bob and Mary Buckner (Belleville). Brother-in-law to Myrna and Ted McNamara (Kanata). Doug was an interior designer and owner of Buckner Interiors for forty years; life member and past president of AKO Fraternity. He was an avid sailor, member and past Commodore of Southport Sailing Club. He was an active member of Windsor Printmaker's Forum. Friends may call at the Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 1969 Wyandotte St. E., on Tuesday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Complete funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Paul Almond officiating. Cremation to follow with interment of cremated remains at a later date.
