HOWELL, (Bink) Winogene (Shadgett) - Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, (Civic Hospital) in her 86th year, on January 30th, 2004. She is now reunited with her husband of 57 years. Walter, who predeceased her in 2000. Loving mother of Walter and Mary (Holton-Hiseler) of Peterborough and Randy and Margaret (Maloney) of Waterloo. Dear grandmother of Edan (Esther), Trent (Julie), Casey, Bethany, Emma and Patrick. Dear sister of Isobel (George) Broadley of Ottawa. Predeceased by sister Eleanor (Nan) Hall (Don) and brother Bill Shadgett (Marie) Survived by sisters-in-law Thelma Howell and Marie Shadgett and June Howell, and daughter-in-law Phyllis (Dagg). Bink was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her focus was on the family and she was vitally interested in everything that touched her husband, children and grandchildren. A charming and vivacious raconteuse, Bink entertained and informed with her stories of items that she and Walter collected on their travels, of Barnardo children, of V-E day in Halifax, the history of Kiwanis in Peterborough and Kiwanis International. Her loving support will be missed. Cremation has taken place. Interment Little Lake Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to a Service of Remembrance to celebrate Bink's life at KAYE FUNERAL HOME "MEMORIAL CHAPEL", Peterborough, Friday, February 6th, 2004 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Canon Ron Davidson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's Anglican Church, 99 Brock St., Peterborough would be appreciated.
