McCULLOUGH, Eddy James March 22, 1918 - April 26, 2008 Eddy McCullough, beloved father of Sharon Moorhead and Colleen Stella (Larry), passed away on April 26, 2008 at the age of 90 years. Eddy was born in the province of Quebec in 1918 and moved to Alberta at the age of six months. He was raised on a farm near Hanna, AB, and married Kay on June 6, 1942. Shortly thereafter joined the army and served overseas from March 1943 till 1946. Upon returning to Canada, Kay and Eddy settled in Drumheller, AB where he worked in the coal mines. They moved to Calgary in 1957 and upon his retirement was a correctional officer at Spy Hill Gaol. Eddy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a friend to all and brought much love and laughter to all who knew him. He is also survived by grandchildren: Jamie Bishop, Kari Griffiths, Steven Bishop, Traci Bishop, Ryan McCullough, Kim McCullough, and Michael Moorhead; eight great-grandchildren; and also his only surviving sibling and best friend Raymond. Eddy was predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen, son Ronald, great-granddaughter Dawsyn, brother Bernie and sister Theresa. Many thanks to all who cared for Eddy at the Colonel Belcher Care Centre and also during his last days at the Rockyview Hospital. Flowers and donations are gratefully declined. Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 - 4 Street N.W.
