CRAIGHEAD, Donald (Don) Howard 1906-2004 Peacefully at McFarland Memorial Home, Picton on Saturday, April 17, 2004 in his 98th year. Predeceased by his wife, Hazel (Thomas); his sisters, Jean and Emily; his brother, William; his parents, George and Maggie (Donald). Loving uncle of Marilyn (Robert Hawley), June (Jim Smith), Joy (Robert Dods), Don (Shirley Haig) and their families. Don grew up in Campbellford and held a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, honours mathematics and science degrees from Queen's University (1929) and a Master of Education from the University of Toronto (1957). He worked at Canadian General Electric (1929-1932); taught at Norwood Secondary School (1933-1940); trained navigators as a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Canadian Navy (1941-1945); principal of the Veteran Training Institute, Kitchener and Windsor (1945-1947); director of the Mathematics Department at Ryerson (1948-1957); 000200000665000003AE 4/21/2004- ID3802747 - Peterborough Examiner
