KNOX, June Cooper (nee Thomson) - Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Saturday April 24, 2004, in her 86th year. June, a proud Life Member of I.O.D.E. and a long time volunteer with many community service organizations. Predeceased by her husband Mort (1978), owners of Knox Jewellers Ltd., George Street, Peterborough for 26 years. June is survived by her daughters Nancy Plaskett and Carol Winslow (Mike). Loving grandmother of Karen (Kevin), Laura (Ray) and Julie (Colin). Great grandmother of eight. Predeceased by parents Bernice and Nicol Thomson. A Memorial Service will be held at the HIGHLAND PARK VISITATION/RECEPTION CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road (at River Road South) 745-6984 on Tuesday April 27th at 1:30 p.m., a reception to follow. A private family burial will have already taken place. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of June to the Peterborough Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. A special thanks to all the staff of Princess Gardens and the P.R.H.C. 4 West.
