JOHNSON, Edward Barclay (Ted) - At Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Hospital Drive on Thursday, April 29, 2004 in his 84th year. Son of Harold and Mildred Johnson, and husband of the late Patricia McNeill (2001). Loving father of Andrea Isaac (Larry) of Fergus, Judith of Guelph and Patricia Edmonds (Stephen) of Orillia. Dear brother of Harry (and his late wife Reta) of Peterborough and brother Vaughan of Windsor. Much loved "Grampa Trucker" to Shelby and Christopher Isaac; Alexander, Nicholas and Cameron Edwards. Ted was a Veteran of W.W. II, serving with the First Special Service Force. Wounded in Italy in 1944, Ted was awarded 'The Purple Heart". For a number of years he was Manager of Godson's Motors on Aylmer Street, and later was associated with Holiday Ford Motors on Lansdowne Street West. Friends will be received at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street from 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Service will be held on Tuesday, May 4th at 1 p.m. at The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #581 in Coe Hill with visiting from 12-1 at the Legion. Interment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, in Coe Hill. In keeping with Ted's wishes, cremation has taken place.
