PATTON, Frederick Joseph February 19, 1922 - May 12, 2008 Frederick Joseph Patton, beloved husband of Grace Mildred (nee Deshayes) of Calgary, passed away quietly on May 12, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Fred was born on February 19, 1922 in Coalhurst, AB (approximately seventeen kms west of Lethbridge). He was with the City of Calgary health department for thirty-seven years before he retired in 1981 as the Chief Health Inspector. Fred and Grace were fortunate enough to spend the next twenty-seven years as snowbirds in Phoenix. Fred was a very active member in the War Amputations of Canada and was the president of the Calgary branch for a number of years. He was also a Director on the National Counsel for the War Amps over the past twenty-nine years. Fred enjoyed all activities, but excelled in golfing, curling, lawn bowling and pool. He had a great love of life and threw himself into everything with great enthusiasm. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of sixty years, Grace, and three sons: Michael, Peter, and Paul and their families; plus the many, many relatives and friends who already miss him. Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 - 4 Street N.W.
