William "Bill" Kalutycz February 22, 1942 - October 07, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Valley View Funeral Home (Surrey) Kalutycz - William (Bill) passed away peacefully after a valiant and lengthy struggle with pancreatic cancer on Thursday October 7, 2004 with his family by his side. He will be sadly missed by his devoted and loving wife, Louise; his children Will (Polly), Cori, and Lani (Gunter); his grandchildren Ellie, Emma, Charlotte and Sophia; his sister Olga (Bill), his brother in law George as well as many nieces, nephews, family, friends and his dog Toby. Bill was predeceased by his father and mother, Jacob and Aksenia and his sister Tina. Bill was a devoted father and grandfather with his greatest passion being time spent with his four granddaughters. Bill loved movies, good food, his vegetable garden, warm exotic places and all too often helping his children with their ongoing house projects. He also cherished his weekly "Granny and Grandpa Day" with his grandchildren and Saturday's garage sale expeditions with his wife. He will be remembered for his strength, generosity, devotion to family and love of animals. Bill was born on February 22, 1942 at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC. He grew up in Surrey, BC, worked on the Fraser Surrey Docks and because of his hard work was able to retire at 48. He spent the last half of his life in South Langley where he fell in love with the open spaces and rolling farmland. According to his wishes there will be no funeral. We would like to invite all of Bill's family and friends to a reception to wish him a final farewell . This will take place on Friday October 15, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Northview Golf and Country Club 6857 168 Street, Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name to Cancer Research, or the SPCA would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Mitchell Fagan and family friend Monita Macdonald for their support and kindness.
