Gudrun "Runa" Jonasina Sutcliffe February 25, 1915 - October 09, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home After a lengthy illness, Runa passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. Runa was predeceased by her husband, William in 1976; her parents, Jon and Bjorg Howardson; brothers Mundi, Ronald, Norman, and one brother in infancy. She will be remembered by her sister, Allie, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Runa was born in Vogar and grew up in Lundar. She married William on August 17, 1946. Runa lived in St. James and worked at Eaton's on Portage Avenue. She enjoyed sewing, baking and gardening. Runa took great pride in her home, and it was always open to family and friends. The family would like to thank Lynn Saunders and all the staff at CD4 at Riverview Health Centre. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 16 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment and reception will follow. Those wishing to do so, may make a donation to a charity of one's choice in memory of Runa.
