Doris Jean Harrison April 12, 1931 - October 09, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Campbell's Funeral Home Doris Jean Harrison age 73 of Amherst passed away on Saturday October 9, 2004 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan. Born in Amherst she was a daughter of the late Harold and Tina (Moore) Gillis. Doris was a wonderful homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by three daughters Judy (Donald) Griffiths and Bev (Kevin) LeBlanc both of Amherst and Marie (Ralph) Flemming of Truro N.S.; six sons David (Jean), Bruce (Bev), Peter (Esther), and Larry (Roberta) all of Amherst Joe (Molly) of Tidnish, and Tim (Terrilynn) of Barrie ON. one sister Marie (Bill) Elduayen; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her husband Dara, three brothers Ron, Arnold and Joe. One sister Marguerite Richards There will be no visitation or public funeral service by the request of the family. A private graveside service was held in the Amherst Cemetery. Donations in Doris’s memory may be made to the Immanuel United Church, Amherst or Palliative Care Unit.
