Monica Baladi April 30, 1992 - October 10, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) Monica passed away peacefully Sunday, October 10, 2004, in the IWK Health Center surrounded by her loving family, following a nine month battle with a brain tumour. Born April 30, 1992 in Edmonton Alta., she was the daughter of Edward and Salwa (Kaba) Baladi, Bedford. She was a grade seven student at Bedford South School and will be missed and always loved deeply by her family and many friends. Along with her parents, Monica is survived by her loving brother David; grandparents, George and Wahiba Baladi; uncles and aunts , Samir Baladi, Antoinette Baladi, Mary Zakher, Theresa Baladi, Joseph Kaba, Cecil Kaba, Nabil Kaba, Lisette Kaba, Violette Kaba, Simira Kaba. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, where family will receive friends from 2-4/7-9 p.m. today. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday, in Our Lady of Lebanon Church, 3844 Joseph Howe Dr., Halifax, Right Rev. Msgr. Kheirallah Aoukar officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. A warm thank-you to all the attending medical professionals and friends at the IWK.
