Shirley Douthwright SALISBURY, NB - Shirley Catherine Douthwright, 69, of Salisbury passed away Monday, October 11, 2004 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Calhoun, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Flora (Thompson) Atkinson. Shirley was a retired employee of the K&B Takeout in Salisbury and was a member of the Five Points Baptist Church, a former member of the Salisbury Lioness and the former Salisbury Women's Institute. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by her husband of 48 years, Sydney; children, Rodney (Cindy), Unice MacLeod (Tim) of Monteagle; grandchildren, Brandon, Erika, Josh and Zachary; brothers, Claude, Ralph, Wayne and Michael Atkinson of Calhoun; a sister, Debbie McCully of Hillgrove and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, Charlie Atkinson; sister, Thelma Stewart. The family will receive visitors at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Shawn Kehoe officiating assisted by Rev. Robert Steeves. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.
