Gerald O'Brien Gerald (Gerry) Frederick O'Brien, 73, of Delong Drive, Salisbury passed away at home Wednesday, October 13, 2004 after a brief illness. Born in Moncton, he was a son of the late Belford and Mabel (Colpitts) O'Brien. Gerry was the former owner-operator of Rene's Texaco and The I.& R. Service Station in Steeves Mountain. He was a member of Five Points Baptist Church and was a fan of most sports and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survived by his beloved wife of over 46 years, Irene (Croteau); children, Leonard (Lisa), Brampton On., Julie (Steve), Mississauga, On., Stanley (Tanya), Riverglade, Elizabeth Leaman, Salisbury, Robert, Mississauga, On., Geraldine Lane (Harold), Colpitts Settlement, Richard (Shirley), Berrytown, Dale Lewis (Krista), Salisbury, Marlene Killam (Don) and Marilyn Squires of Moncton; 13 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; son-in-law, Michael Leaman, sisters-in-law, Margaret O'Brien, Mississauga, Bessie O'Brien, Hopewell Cape. Predeceased by brothers, Laurence and Weldon. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday October 18, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Shawn Kehoe officiating. Interment at the Colpitts Community Cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital, Extra Mural Program, Driscoll Unit, Petitcodiac Sub Office would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
