Mrs Elda Marion Mayer (née Engel) December 09, 1931 - October 17, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Valley View Funeral Home (Surrey) Mayer, Elda Marion(nee Engel) of Surrey, BC passed away peacefully iwth her loving family by her side on Sunday, October 17, 2004, age 72 years. Predeceased by her brother Edwin Engel. Survived by her loving husband Ernest; daughters, Debbie, Gayle (Stephen) Lewis; son Gerry (Donna); three grandchildren, Andrea, Kaela and Sydney; two brothers, Earl and Wesley Engel; numerous nieces and nephews. The family wish to thank Dr. Alexiadis and nurse Pat from the community palliative team. A special thank you to all of the nurses who cared for our Mum on the Palliative Care Unit at Surrey Memorial Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 23rd at 10:30 am at Valley View Funeral Home Chapel, 14660-72nd Avenue, Surrey. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to BC Cancer Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Valley View Funeral Home.
