Patrick David Galbraith HALIFAX, NS - The death of Patrick "Pat" David Galbraith, occurred in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, Friday, October 15, 2004, after a courageous 14 monthbattle with cancer. He was the son of the late William Galbraith and Rosemary Farnell (Herb Farnell). Born in Saint John, N.B., July 14, 1956, he was raised in Moncton and lived in Ottawa for 12 years before moving to Eastern Passage in 1989. Pat was a unique individual blessed with a terrific wit and unassuming charm that endeared him to many. All that knew him can attest to his warmth, sincerity and simplistic way of seeing things. Pat was an avid sports fan and talented athlete who enjoyed all sports but had a particular passion for baseball, football and shooting pool. He was rarely seen not wearing his beloved N.Y. Yankees hat, even at formal occasions. Pat got his greatest pleasure from being with his family and many friends. Whether it was at the Sandtrap Bar or working at Shearwater Auto with his best buddy, Jerome Pettipas, laughter and a good time surrounded him. Pat dearly loved his wife, Brenda; son, Billy (Andrea); granddaughter, Taylor, the light of his life; brothers, Greg (Jean) and Peter; sister, Susan Daniszewski (Tony); stepsister, Anne Bakerl; in-laws, Harold and Arla Jean Everett, Shayne (Brenda), Norman (Rose) and Barbara Milburn (Scott). Pat had a special fondness for his aunt and uncle, Thelma and Murray Carpenter and their family. Visitation 2 to 4, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 19 in Eastern Passage Funeral Home. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, in Shearwater Chapel. Reception will follow in Sea King Junior Ranks. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care, VG Site, QEII or a charity of choice.
