Donna L. Kennie (1948 - 2004) Donna (Douthwright) Kennie of Riverview passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Friday, October 22, 2004 after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Born in Moncton she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Marie (Grey) Douthwright. Prior to her illness Donna was an employee of The Riddles and Rymes Daycare. Prior to her employment with the daycare Donna had been employed as a teacher's assistant with District 2 and a special care attendant with several group homes in the Greater Moncton area. Donna will be sadly missed by her son, Jason (Cathy) of Moncton: daughter, Angela of Toronto; by her beloved grandsons, Jacob and Aiden; by her best friend and brother, Daniel, by brother, Bob (Karen); by her longest and dearest friend, Helen; and by many countless friends and co-workers who have been touched by Donna over the years; and special friends, Karl and Anne of Toronto. Donna will be fondly remembered for her quick wit, great sense of humor, love of Pepsi, for her love of children, her family, for being a true "Friends" friend, for being genuine and always having an open door and warm cup of tea for all. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton (858-1995) Sunday 2 to 4. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, October 25, 2004, 1:30pm. Rev. Rick Thomas officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Donna's memory donations to Friends Of The Moncton Hospital (Palliative Care) would be appreciated. A special thank you to Helen, Anthony, Debbie and Margerite for the many countless hours spent reading to and comforting Donna while in palliative care at The Moncton Hospital.
