REED, HAZEL C. - The death of Hazel C. Reed of Long Reach, widow of George Reed occurred October 22, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital. She was born at Saint John, daughter of the late Herbert and Ella (Wetmore) Creighton. Hazel taught school for twenty one years in Southern New Brunswick. She was a member of St. James' Church, Long Reach and St. James' A.C.W. She is survived by two daughters Georgena Ackerley of Halifax, Mary Kennedy (Charles) of Moncton; two sons Creighton Reed (Diane) of Ottawa, Murray Reed (Lorraine) of Moncton; one sister Herberta Gorham of Fredericton; 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her twin brother Herbert Creighton in infancy. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral will be held Monday, 2:00pm, at St. James' Anglican Church, Long Reach, with Rev. Bonita LeBlanc officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
