GORMLEY, Russell Herbert “Bud“ - Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital with his wife and good friend by his side on Monday, June 9, 2008. Bud Gormley in his 73rd year, beloved wife of Marsha. Predeceased by parents Bert and Marion Gormley and sister Shirley Anne Gormley Hill. Dear nephew in law of Caroline Scott of Halifax. Brother in law of John Hill of Picton and Suzanne Coghill of Saskatoon. Favorite uncle of Janice (Bill) Kalistchuk of Mississauga, David (Carol) Hill of Winnipeg, Sherman (Debra) Hill of Kingston, Richard Hill of Peterborough, Christopher (Nancy) Harwood of Toronto, and all of their extended families. Fondly remembered by goddaughters Sarah Harkness of Ottawa and Heather Hennigar of Halifax. Missed by his many friends, neighbours, business associates, sailing and golfing buddies. After 25 years as a teacher and principal with the former L&A School Board, Bud enjoyed 20 years as a partner of Toucan / Kirkpatricks and Tango. Bud lent his social and organizational skills to numerous events and positions such as Commodore of K.Y.C., President of the Gallery Association, Chairman of C.O.R.K. and Mayor of the Olympic Village in 1976. Deep appreciation for the support and kindness of so many people. Special thanks to Dr. Kilpatrick and her team at the Health For Life Clinic and the caring staff at KGH. The family will receive friends at the ROBERT J. REID & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 309 Johnson Street, (at Barrie Street) on Tuesday, June 17 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., and on Wednesday from 1 - 2 p.m., prior to a memorial service to be held in “The Chapel on the Corner“ at 2:00 o'clock.
