DAY, DAVID G.- The death of David G. Day of 17 Hammond Street, Saint John, husband of Lillian (Ricketts) Day, occurred on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a brief illness. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Burton M. and Alnetta (Garrick) Day. David was a member of the ILA Local #273 and worked as a longshoreman until his retirement. He was a lifelong caregiver. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, David of Saint John, Debbie Carruthers of Charlottetown, Kim Symonds of Rothesay and Rose Day of Toronto, ON, one sister, Rosemary Eddy of Akron, step-sisters, Alveta Nairn, Midge McCavour and Shirley Pringle, grandchildren, Robbie, Garrick, Neil, Erin, Ben and Jack, several nieces and nephews and all of their spouses. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 2:00 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
