Emma Louise Odegaard (née Johnson) June 07, 1913 - October 15, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) Emma Louise passed away peacefully at the Acadia Ty Mawr Lodge, Shawnigan Lake, BC on Friday, October 15, 2004. Predeceased by her father and mother Elisabeth and Frederick Johnson, her husband of 68 years, Ervin Odegaard, brother Fritz, sisters and brothers-in-law Laura (George Langerak), Gena (Gunder Langerak), Bertha (Wallace Nermo), Pedar Nordby and Sam Zubic. Lovingly remembered by her son’s Gerald (Mary), Lance (Sharon), grandchildren; Leanne (Rick Harrison), Lana (Dave Cech), Kim (John Hoffmann), Keli (Kelly Sinclair), Brad (Susy Odegaard), Carmen (Keith Hall), great grandchildren; Erik, Natasha (Normand), Heather (Page), Krista and Melissa (Cech), Brandon and Megan (Hoffmann), Kirsten and Tyler (Sinclair), Cameron (Odegaard), Maiya and Mackenzie (Hall), great great grandchild Keegan (Taylor), sisters Freda Zubic, Ida Nordby and sister-in-law Virginia Johnson. Our mother and grandmother was born in Ordale, Saskatchewan on June 7, 1913. She married Ervin Odegaard on November 9, 1932 and moved to Nestledown, Saskatchewan. Together they operated a general store and farm until they retired to Shawnigan Lake, BC. They made many trips back to Saskachewan to visit family and friends. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Acacia for their loving care given to our mother Emma. A special thanks to Shirley Wensley. A Celebration of Emma’s life will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC on October 23, 2004 at 10:00 am. Reverend Ron Attwell officiating. Interment at the Shawnigan Lake Cemetery. Following the service family and friends are invited to the Sands Arbor Reception Centre for refreshments. Flowers are gratefully declined.
