Lucienne Bielek The family announces with sorrow the peaceful passing, at the Extendicare Timmins Residence, of Lucienne (Lucy) Bielek on Monday, March 31st in her 89th year. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Hank, in 1994. She is survived by her two sisters, Thérèse (Elwood) Farrell and Gail White, and her brother, André (Thérèse) Larivière. She is also survived by her children, Bob, Jim (Sharon) and Doug (Debbie). She will be missed by her grandchildren, Kim, Robert, Mike, Crystal, Chad and Matthew and great-grandchildren, Travis, Meghan and Bryanna as well as many nieces and nephews. She will also be sorely missed by her lifetime friend, Lila Adams. Lucy was well known as the first French immersion program teacher in Timmins. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Extendicare for the wonderful care that she received during her stay with you. Donations would be greatly appreciated to the Alzheimer Foundation, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held on Thursday April 3rd, 2008 at 11 am in the Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday April 2nd from 7-9 pm and on Thursday April 3rd from 10-11am at Maison funéraire LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. (705)268-4488.
